As a coach and certified HeartMath® Mentor, I help individuals and small groups identify stress and stressors that can deplete your energy with solutions that can renew and replenish your energy reserves. As a highly skilled coach, I focus on personalizing (and training you) how to self-regulate your nervous system so you can reset in the moment, think clearly, and feel optimistically aligned with your decisions.
During this session, we’ll talk about what’s important to you, what you’re trying to achieve, and the known challenges to reaching your goals. Also, during this time, you’ll better understand how I work and what you can expect moving forward. Should you decide to work with me, I will send you a client agreement and Stress and Well-Being assessment to prepare you for our first session, a 60-minute Stress and Well-Being Consultation to gain clarity in achieving your goals.
20 Minute Initial Consultation
Your consultation focuses on eight components of stress and four components of well-being. We look at aspects of your life (work, relationships, financial, social support, emotional stress, resilience, adaptability, vitality, and stress management) and the contributing factors to your stress levels and well-being. We look at each component individually to prioritize personal goals and tools that best benefit your growth. At that time, clients have an option to enroll in Personal Resilience Training.
You will receive a link to take your assessment within 24 hours after booking your consultation. Please submit your assessment at least two days before your session.
Stress and WellBeing Consultation
The fully normed and validated Stress and Well-Being Assessment was originally developed at the HeartMath Institute Research Center for use as the stress and well-being component of a health risk assessment for a large hospital system. The assessment has now been used by tens of thousands of people around the world.

Many of SBWH’s activities meet the criteria of key standards found in several categories of learning: National Health Education Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, Social and Emotional Learning Standards, and Common Core State Standards. SBWH also draws on the Collaborative For Academic, Social and Emotional Learning’s (CASEL) five defined core competencies.

Meet the Founder and Coach, Diedra Perry
When I was growing up, many people assumed I was part of a military family due to constant relocating from state to state. However, my family's reality was quite different. Despite well-meaning parents, my upbringing was marked by frequent, emotionally challenging moves. By the time I turned 18, I had lived in seven states and attended thirteen schools.
In second grade alone, I attended three schools in three different cities. Adversities beyond my control, including divorce, alcoholism, and mental illness within my family shaped my childhood.
Though undeniably a very trying upbringing, these circumstances ultimately ignited the fire within me to actively seek meaning and understanding in my life. During those formative years, constantly being the 'new kid' left me struggling to fit in. However, at just twelve years old, I found the courage to trust my intuition and I sought guidance from a school advisor. Uncertain of the outcome, I nevertheless understood that embracing change was preferable to living in unending uncertainty.
Growing up, my life was a series of moves that often led people to assume a military background. However, my reality was different. This network eventually led me to work for the Anthony Robbins Company, an inspiring and dynamic experience.
Despite my years in wellness practices and holistic studies, I grappled with hearing and acting on my inner voice, believing certain aspects of myself were unchangeable due to my upbringing. This belief was shattered during a coaching session. Heart Focused Breathing, a practice from HeartMath®, brought a profound shift in my internal state. I became adept at connecting my breath to positive feelings, a truly transformative experience.
Today, my commitment to growth and education drives my mission to empower others in their quests for self-awareness, emotional resilience, and personal growth. I engage in ongoing research, workshops, and training, fueled by a love for learning. My aim is to foster self-reliance and emotional strength in others.

This pivotal shift in my perspective marked the beginning of my personal growth, nurturing self-confidence propelling me through school, and ultimately enabling me to explore my independence.
In my twenties, my search for self-knowledge brought me countless hours in the library as well as many more hours eagerly browsing the shelves of my favorite bookstores: Borders Books and Barnes and Noble.
These years occurred before the convenience of book shopping on Amazon, so I wholeheartedly immersed myself in self-discovery through books and audiobooks. These hours of exploration were truly transformative.
I have fond memories of taking long walks with my trusty Sony Walkman, immersing myself in audiobooks that broadened my perspectives with fresh ideas. While some recommendations were priceless, others provided valuable learning experiences.
What truly counted was my unwavering willingness to step out of my comfort zone, ultimately leading to significant personal growth.
This heightened curiosity led me to an interest in holistic modalities and human behavior. With unwavering determination, I made the life-altering decision to relocate from Las Vegas to San Diego. Even though I was determined to dramatically change my life, the move was still an intimidating step because I didn't have any family in San Diego and the area was new to me. But before too long I found a new place to live, I secured a job, and ultimately expanded my circle of influence.
The new life was exciting but I was unclear about which modality intrigued me most, so I explored a variety of options within the healing arts. Meeting a Shaman and a hypnotherapist firsthand showed me the power of the mind and body to find peace, stillness, and clarity. Hypnotherapy helped me make a significant change in my health that continues today.
When I arrived in San Diego, I dedicated a portion of my time to volunteering at The School of Healing Arts, which introduced me to Tai Chi, NLP, EFT, and exposed me to countless influential speakers. These experiences contributed to newfound stability and happiness, surrounded by a diverse social circle that shared my passions. This network eventually led me to the opportunity of a lifetime—working for the Anthony Robbins Company.
My time working for the legendary motivational speaker, author, and entrepreneur Tony Robbins was both inspiring and dynamic. My professional responsibilities allowed me to connect with people from all over the world, I journeyed to Fiji, I became a firewalker, and I received guidance from a coach who had a profound impact on me and unknowingly played a part in the trajectory of my professional career.

As it concluded, I experienced a profound sense of calm and clarity – this was a genuine shift in my internal state using my own body! This seemingly straightforward technique had an extraordinary impact on me. It marked the first time I synchronized my breath with a positive feeling. While I had gathered a wealth of knowledge over the years, connecting my breath to a feeling in this way was eye-opening and undeniably powerful.
The more I practiced this technique, the more aware I became of how I reacted and felt when faced with a challenging situation. I also practiced when I wasn’t challenged and learned how to connect with myself.
This remarkable technique is called Heart Focused Breathing, one of the many practices from HeartMath®. Supported by years of research, peer-reviewed studies, science, and technology, it deeply appealed to me, leading me to become a Certified HeartMath® Mentor, equipped to teach others how to self-regulate their mind, emotions, and nervous systems for enhanced daily living.
Today, my journey continues with excitement and a deep commitment to growth and education. I frequently engage in ongoing research, workshops, retreats, and training, propelled by an insatiable love for learning, regardless of how much knowledge I accumulate along the way.
